Medal Collector

With ANZAC Day approaching, Raphael brought in his collection of military memorabilia to show us.

Clay Day

We had a real-life artist teaching us how to sculpt in our art lesson this week. Orion and Atia's Uncle Keith was visiting from the USA and popped in to share his knowledge and skills. We had so much fun that we didn't want to go home and, instead, invited our parents in at the end of school to see our creative masterpieces!

Food, Glorious Food...

Today we learned all about food waste and recycling with the hugely entertaining Matt and Andy Food Waste Show. Dastardly villain, Steve, tried to change Yummy Land into Stinky Bag City but was foiled by wormpower! With music, a high-kicking dance finale and some worm hugs, the environmental balance was restored.

It's fun to stay at the YMCA.....

The last week of Term 1 saw us at Shakespear Camp for four days of challenging fun. There was rock-climbing, orienteering, mountain-boarding, archery, sailing, coasteering and bush cooking. That's before we even mention safe boating, campfire skits, stargazing, eco-warrior work and hanging out with our friends!!
