Grandparents Galore!

What a fantastic turnout by the Tuatara Grandparents, parents and Liam's Great-Grandfather! Thank you all for coming in to share our morning.

We started by celebrating Pi Day (March 14th) with a contest between young and young-at-heart to see who could memorise the most Pi digits.

This was followed by more maths puzzlers, including Tangram teasers. 

We rounded things up with some schoolyard games (thank you, Bridie) and a look at Jared's grandparents' school reports.

Why the long faces...?

...because we have been drawing like Modigliani!

Having studied facial proportion in our pencil sketches, we have been playing around with distortions using Modigliani as our inspiration.











Word Games

Tuatara Class have been studying the poetry of Pie Corbett and Valerie Bloom. We discovered that Fruits by Valerie Bloom is a counting rhyme and a clapping game! We couldn't resist...
