ACTING OUT POETRY

We are learning to act out poetry, using our imagination and having a bit of fun. We acted out
Te Ika a Maui and Swimming, both are lovely poems. Can you guess which one is which?

CIRCUITS

We have been studying circuits and wiring.
Each group did their own bit of experimentation, looking at open and closed circuits.
It was fun.

CLASSROOM VISITORS

Last week we got a visit from the local swan family, we think they came to show off their latest family members.

ZOO TRIP

The Year 1-5 students went to the zoo to study the habitats of NZ animals.

We also had a good look around the zoo and saw lots of other animals.

HABITATS - We're going on an animal hunt

For Science this term we are studying Habitats.
We decided to explore our local environment and find some animals in their habitat. We looked all around the school and this is what we found -

BEES WAX WRAPS

On Friday we did our bit for the environment and created reusable Bees Wax Wraps. Instead of using cling film we can now use our reusable environmentally friendly wraps for our lunches, and do you know the best part? We got to make them ourselves.

On Friday we made some lovely Mothers Day cards. They were quite tricky but the end result made it well worth it. We hope you had a great day.
