Marble Mania!

The last day of Term 2 was one of its highlights - Technology Day. The challenge was to work with a group to produce a freestanding marble run that included two drops! As always, the creativity was amazing - especially as the groups only had cardboard boxes, tubes and sticky tape to work with.

Switched on to Science

Our Year 4 scientists have put their knowledge of electrical conductors to the test this week, inventing their own switches.

Super Scientists

After a week of tough science challenges, there was a buzz of excitement at the College assembly this week as the results of the science competition were announced. First, Rosa explained to the whole College what Primary Science Week had been all about and then the prizewinners were called up to receive their awards.

Congratulations to Austin (Year 5) and Rory (Year 4), who beat off tough competition from the Tuatara Class to become our Science champions!

Mighty fine folks.....

Howdy y'all and welcome to the Wild Wentworth Hoedown..... with cowboys and cowgirls, Native Americans and gunslingers in town, it was just as well we had a few sheriffs to keep law and order! With hotdogs and the animal rodeo also adding to the fun - a mighty fine time was had by all.

Science Spectacular!

As it was Science Week, we had the chance to visit the College laboratories, where some of the Year 13 students demonstrated identifying acids and bases using indicators and how to detect metals by the colours of flames they produced. They were also able to answer many of our challenging questions about science. Thank you, Mr Muller and the Y13 Scientists.
